I upgraded to Fedora 43 on the Thinkpad. It seems to work well!
I do have the Temurin Java repository activated.

Have not had any issues on my thinkpad mobile workstation now that you
mention it. Can't remember seeing this in fc42, if I screen cap the
Android emulator and paste it into the Gimp it asks to use some other
color map/palette and I say no because I want it to look like the
phone it just totally goes to sleep for 30-45 seconds, it's an RTX
2060 w/580 driver and the p1 is a RTX 3000, the images are not that
big.
