Seconded. Asianometry is great. And he throws in some subtle jokes, which helps keep you on your toes ;)
I somehow missed this one. Just added it to my [admittedly enormous] "Watch Later" list.

ZOMG pick is an abomination. Put that back and wash your hands.

The video commented that Pick somehow evolved into ACCESS. One of my first jobs at UCD was converting an ACCESS database to an SQL database. That was like 30 years ago. I thought that ACCESS was pretty bad back then. It's big attribute was it allowed "non programmers" to build a GUI to access data.
But, at the time, I remember wondering why ACCESS was the way it was.
I did get the image I found to run, but it has issues. I did get to a prompt, but I don't know what to do after that. It does look like it wants some kind of subject verb englishy command based on the errors I get.
It has configurable dictionaries, which look like an attempt at DSL.
I'll wash my hands well, but a little playing in the mud can be fun, for a while.

I have an enormous follow up list too. The problem is that when I work on my follow up list, it get's pointed out to me that I'm not keeping up with items on my other list LOL.
I'm looking for a solution :).
I tried writing Congress and asking them to add an hour to the day. I haven't heard back and I'm not optimistic. They can't even fix daylight savings.

I'm not sure why I get the credit, but I did find it interesting. I found this github page that has an OS image for qemu:
https://github.com/Krowemoh/R83
It's kind of a hierarchical database and it seems to have an interesing way to do the hierarchy. It seems to be sort of from a functional or metadata approach. At least for a few layers. Due to it's interesing history and possibly unique perspective, I think I'll take a look.
So far, I've only watched the video and downloaded the image :)
