PS: Immersed as I am in ancient hardware, I
recommend checking (1) power supply voltage
and ripple*, (2) CPU thermal regulation. If
your system is well-favored some of this is
accessible via IPMI and/or the 'sensors'
command.
PPS: BPF is supposedly unable to harm your
system, it's an interesting concept.
