Check this one out at Gulfstream. It mentions using Linux and python. I like the description where they say gust conditions versus turbulence. That sounds about the equivalent of bending the paper clip once versus continuously bending it back and forth. IIRC, if you bend it into the plastic region of stress, it will eventually break.
