The video commented that Pick somehow evolved into ACCESS. One of my first jobs at UCD
was converting an ACCESS database to an SQL database. That was like 30 years ago. I
thought that ACCESS was pretty bad back then. It's big attribute was it allowed
"non programmers" to build a GUI to access data.
But, at the time, I remember wondering why ACCESS was the way it was.
I did get the image I found to run, but it has issues. I did get to a prompt, but I
don't know what to do after that. It does look like it wants some kind of subject
verb englishy command based on the errors I get.
It has configurable dictionaries, which look like an attempt at DSL.
I'll wash my hands well, but a little playing in the mud can be fun, for a while.
