Kernel says "xen: PV spinlocks enabled". This is in the guest host that I booted paravirtualized.
I imagine that this is a reference related to the topic in Thomas Friebel's "Preventing Guests from Spinning Around"

I long had the mistaken assumption that a paravirtualized guest had to have the same version of the kernel running. That hasn't been the case.
