Yeah, I too kinda I miss ifconfig - but, then, just a couple of days ago I had someone from my ISP tell I just 'Old-Fashion' and that I should get my children to help me out.

No, she didn't get the up-sell she wanted and I did politely somewhat snap her head about that remark.

Anyway, a few years back I had a similar dilemma and I found some decent YouTube videos on the subject of 'ip'.

Videos are pretty much the how-tos these days.
