I would like to get the Diamond Aircraft DA 50 RG.
It is fairly fuel efficient. Yet, the price tag of 1.1 to 1.4 million is
sort of a deal killer for me. :-( Owning a plane is worse than owning a
boat. You have inspections, insurance, hangar fees, maintenance, oh and
then you put fuel in it!
The DA 40 NG would probably be a better choice!
You can look up the fuel efficiency! The nice thing is that Petaluma is
just 30 minutes away by plane from Sac. But, the fog is the killer! I
checked the weather a couple times for flying there only to see fog
predicted. I drove to the last NBLUG meeting and when I left, the fog
rolled in! Perhaps, I just need to pursue IFR certification! ;-)
