Top post here.
With respect to transit accessibility, it's still doable. Route 23 runs
on El Camino. RT service certainly has declined over the years. I
remember they had the 36 that ran on Folsom and that along with numerous
routes seem to have disapeared.
Here is the list of the Raley's / Bel-Aire "Something Extra Gather"
other locations.

I know that I met with a hacker/computing social group pre-pandemic at
Raley's at the intersection of Howe and Fair Oaks. It was a series of
tables. I like the location of Raley's on Freeport near the airport,
yet it doesn't have meeting room.

From either the Arden Way or Watt Ave light rail
station it's an 18 min bus ride. Yes you do have to walk 25 min from either bus
station near the venue. If you want to contact me offline, I'd be glad to pick you up
on my way to the meeting at either one of those and drop you off on my way home.
And, I'd respectully suggest, that criticsm is easy. You have to make a better
suggestion, and you are free to do so. Reporting to the list on things you have tried or
found is valuable to everyone and I'd like to thank Sen for using his valuable time to
do that. I think this is a good venue.
Hacker lab is out of business.
I use public transit a lot. Sacramento's is not that great. Light rail isn't
reliable from downtown on a Sunday night for example. Buses don't run to schedule.
But they do have a nice app so you can see how long you have to wait. And a bus that has
two stops: downtown and the airport, won't pull in at the airport if they don't
see anyone and you happen to be standing a few feet away to stay out of the pouring rain.
I can't help you with public transit, but I'll do what I can.

Terrible choice for users of public transit.
It's about a thirty minute walk from any
useful bus stop. It'll take 75 to 90 minutes
to get from the 16th St. light rail station
to this location.
Has anyone tried asking Hacker Lab if they
have some space for a meeting? They used
to have a big space in Midtown but they had
to liquidate a bunch of equipment and move
to a smaller place in Oak Park. It's near Naked
Coffee and Oak Park Brewing Company off of
Broadway.
I'll email them if no one else has.
Cheers,
Anthony
